September 2006 Newsletter
Sorry for the late newsletter. Have to travel next week and I’ve been putting in a lot of OT at the job in the city lately.
Had another terrific shoot this month, 24 shooters & some pretty good scores. Congratulations to Johnny Swan for the lowest score! Fabulous weather to boot once again! Hope I don’t jinx us by saying this, but I don’t recall rain for even 1 shoot this year,
Thanks to all who helped set – up & take down the props. Much appreciated.
We did have a bit of a problem however last month with set-up as we sure could have used some more help. If anyone can join us at 8 AM to get started, we sure would appreciate it.
As you all know, we have no one to supply lunch on a regular basis. Cactus Jack and I have agreed to provide lunch for the November shoot (sorry, I earlier said October) so we’re still looking for a volunteer for this month. If you are interested, please let me know ASAP. Please remember, lunch, and any profits you may make from the sale are yours as lunch is independent of the club. As last resort, if I don’t hear from someone by the Friday before the shoot, I’ll run out & grab a sub like last time. I’ll mix it up a bit this time & try to include some turkey & tuna.
I’ll repeat what I said last newsletter - I’m trying to change things a bit, (I’ve added a lot more shooting & always include all 3 kinds of weapons) but I don’t want to make the scenarios too complicated so as to make a scenario description read like a memory test. So, here’s your opportunity to weigh-in on how you would like things going forward. They say no news is good news & since I didn’t hear from even 1 of you after my last newsletter, I guess I’ll just keep doing what I’ve been doing.
Y’all take care & we’ll see you on the 8th!
