August 2006 Newsletter

 

Had a terrific shoot this month. Great turnout – 27 shooters &, fabulous weather to boot!

Thanks to all who helped set – up & take down the props. Much appreciated.

 

As I announced at the shoot, Bill Watras and his wife have decided they will no longer provide lunch at our monthly shoots. Thanks to both of you for all the times you kept us fed & happy. We appreciate all you have done for us & wish you all the best.

 

That leaves us with a problem – finding someone to supply lunch from now on. Cactus Jack and I have agreed to provide lunch for the October Shoot (get ready – Cactus Jack makes a mean chili!) but as of this writing, we have no one for September. If you are interested, please let me know ASAP.  Please remember, lunch, and any profits you may make from the sale are yours as lunch is independent of the club.

 

I’m trying to change things a bit, (I’ve added a lot more shooting & always include all 3 kinds of weapons) but I don’t want to make the scenarios too complicated so as to make a scenario description read like a memory test. So, here’s your opportunity to weigh-in on how you would like things going forward. 

 

I am open to suggestion. Anything from more shooting, or less shooting, more complex scenarios, or keep em’ like they are, ideas about changing around the targets (thanks Bruce, by the way, I have your leather bullet strips again) better or more use of props, or whatever. This is our shoot, meaning all of us, so please feel free to e-mail me or call me & let me know what you are thinking.

 

I won’t promise drastic changes, but I will promise to listen to what everyone has to say.
